The OUTBOUND PROGRAM supports Tokyo-based start-up companies in their journey of global expansion in an aim to maintain the city’s global competitiveness. Consisting of six courses – New York, Silicon Valley, UK, Europe, Singapore and Indonesia.– we have partnered with global accelerators across the world with expertise in local ecosystems of the regions mentioned. In cooperation with global accelerators, this program will provide Tokyo-based start-up companies with abundant opportunities to connect with various global business partners and investors through bootcamps and mentoring sessions.

This program is designed for companies seeking to enter the North American market, and developing their sales channels in New York City, which has the largest Gross Regional Product (GRP) in North America. Through participation in one of the world’s largest climate change events “Climate Week”, the program helps companies to obtain specific business matchmaking opportunities, brush up on pitches, and improve marketing skills in North America.

  4. Must have product services backed by its own proprietary technology, that also accomplished PMF (Product Market Fit) in Japan, and have certain level of traction, such as customers in Japan or U.S.
  5. Must be able to speak English and also make a decision on their business expansion to North America.
  6. Agree to the terms and conditions and be able to participate in all programs related to this course.
  7. To be able to report on business negotiation agreements (business tie-ups, fundraising, etc.) that lead to overseas expansion and their prospects through a questionnaire administered by the secretariat to ascertain the results of the project, and to cooperate in the dissemination of the results of the project.

Through the exhibition to the biggest startup conference in Europe called “4 Years From Now,” and the participation to the pitch event, selected companies are able to aim for constructing networks and business development. Before traveling to Barcelona, you can learn the method of English pitch and construction of networks in European ecosystem through individual mentoring with the local accelerators.
